Introduction
It just says alcohol free beer on the can of To Øl – Implosion. It doesn’t really specify the style but we would definitely consider it a Pale Ale with its fresh fruity flavors. We will soon go through the tasting notes of this NA beer. It was an alright beer but in the end, it was quite a forgettable one.
To Øl is a Danish craft brewery founded in 2010. They are famous for their very drinkable Pale Ales and IPAs, but they also have a serious range of sours and Imperial Stouts. Their beers usually have quite funny names like Not Just Another, Easy Jeff, and Driving Home from X-Mas. This is the only non-alcoholic craft beer from them that we know of.

Tasting Notes
On their website, To Øl calls this a very complex beer. We would not agree entirely as in the end, it was more of a crispy and refreshing pale ale. You don’t need to think too much while drinking it but sometimes a light and chuggable beer is all you need.
The beer pours hazy with a pale golden color. Pine and some tropical notes in the initial aroma. The carbonation is on the lower side and it has a very thin body, which is quite common for non alcoholic craft beers. The head is quite thin and disappears quickly. Light and tropical. It is without the complexity we were promised but it’s still a decent NA craft beer.

The calories in this beer is 23 kcal per 100 ml. That adds up to about 76 kcal per can. I was actually surprised it is this high as it doesn’t have any obvious sweetness to it. It is still considered quite an average calorie count for a non-alcoholic beer.

I’ve always had great respect for To Øl and their brewing skills. They make really good beer and even if I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this beer I would still enjoy it while drinking. A decent beer and the main drawback is the thin mouthfeel but that is a problem many alcohol free craft beers have.
