Introduction
The Limbo Yuzu is a non-alcoholic Pale Ale by Danish craft beer brewer Mikkeller. It’s a brewery that was founded in 2006 and originally operated as a gypsy brewer. Today their bars can be found all over the world including their craft beer bars in Denmark, but they also have a bar in Bangkok and San Diego.
The Limbo Yuzu is a beer in Mikkellers Limbo series. This series include their popular Limbo Raspberry, which is also a non-alcoholic craft beer. While I’m not s huge fan of fruited beers, this was definitely better than the Lervig No Worries and Beavertown Lazer Crush I tried at the same time.
Tasting Notes
The beer pours cloudy with a decent head. It has a pretty intense aroma of Yuzu, I almost get the feeling of a yuzu lemonade which is obviously very refreshing. Yuzu is not actually related to lemon although it shares some similar characteristics in my opinion.
The beer follows the same pattern throughout the whole drinking experience – fruity and refreshing. Apart from the yuzu flavor there are also hints of grapefruit and lime. Very little bitterness and medium carbonation.

There are 27 kcal per 100 ml of Limbo Yuzu. That means there is about 100 kcal in a can of this non-alcoholic low calorie beer.
The ABV is 0.3% and the IBU is said to be around 20.

Once again this beer shows that low alcohol beer tend to be better with fruits. Although I want my beers to taste like beer, I can’t fault this beer in any way.
It’s an extremely drinkable beer that must be one of the best alcohol free craft beers I’ve ever tasted. Kudos to Mikkeller for doing their best to make non-alcoholic beers good.
